Mine's pretty straightforward as well, I am a HUGE Witcher fan so my avatar is usually Geralt or something from the games. Sometimes I mix it up with a character from a game I'm playing at the moment, but I always go back to Witcher. Even use an image of Geralt as my Facebook profile pic.

This is a long one. If you already know about my avatar, skip to the observation after the first picture.
In the "Explain your Forum Name" thread (rated it 3 for good behavior, Roomys) I already explained my Avatar, but I'll do it again because there is an observation I want to add at the end.
My avatar and name is linked.
Mister 44, .44 caliber killer, Son of Sam, Dave Berkowitz. I love the song by Electric Hellfire Club, but Dave scares me.
Dave was (is, actually, since he's still alive) a serial killer that killed 7 people. His neighbor's dog told him to do it. This is why I am scared of black Labradors, btw
This is what he looks like in non-cartoon form:
So I picked an image of Dave because it fits my nick, and I'll be able to edit it in subtle ways to make it fit my moods and/or situations.
Now for my observation, which is the real reason I posted:
I imagine voices based on a user's avatar.
OK, this probably sounds a bit suspicious given that I've just written about a demonic dog telling a serial killer what to do, but hear me out.
When I read a post by Eugene, I picture him as a rather naughty but intelligent person (that is the way I've always pictured pigs) with a voice to match.
Wlad is a gruff, no nonsense voice because of this name more than his avatar.
With Wenzdayz I hear the Harley Quinn voice from the animated series for obvious reasons (nasal twang 'n all).
Graal, I hear as a slightly stoned but wise Guru (sorry, Graal, I'm sure IRL you don't even partake) because Graal is afrikaans for Grail and the flying My Little Pony unicorn ridden by a pirate doesn't help either.
Wyvern sounds like an extremely adventurous (extreme sport type) but likable woman in her early 20s (the way I see dragons).
Vampothic is a little unstable with possibly multiple personalities (changing his name and avatar so often) so his voice is very eratic.
InSanity is a hyperactive, eager beaver, so his voice is high pitched and anxious.
Dohc-WP I hear Robert Downey Jr all the way. His avatar suits him, because from what I've heard he might as well be Ironman, but with less sense.
Mephisto-Helix reminds me of my goth friends from way back. His name, avatar and style of posting, all fit together and I think my voice for him is pretty close to real life: A thoughtful voice that like to see an issue from every angle before commenting on it.
MaliceE is close to InSanity in voice, just a little slower (in voice, not mind) because of a similar madness in their avatars.
Roomys_ZA is an authoritative voice, but not the same as James and the other mods (see next entry) which is actually strange, given the amount of bullshit he is capable of spreading and that this has nothing to do with his avatar.
James and all the other guys with green names have the same voice. This:
Saint-Dee, BradBear117, Murph, Ike_009, ViperGTI and all the other people I haven't mentioned have voices to me that I find difficult to describe in words. But every single person with an avatar has a unique voice in my head, even if it is the first time I read a post from them.
Anybody else experience this with avatars and names?

I play guitar. I'm a fan of the playing of Mr. Richards. I found an avatar sized pic of him playing one day, and used it. I have absolutely no idea if it's a drawing or a photo, since it's such low res, but I like it.

Funny enough, I actually wrote a description for you, bradbear and Simon which I deleted because you three have rather similar voices for me, even though your styles of posting are very different. I couldn't really explain why, so I decided to let it go.
Once I get my thoughts organised, I'll revisit that post and expand it to cover more of the regulars.

I get what you're explaining, though, I tend to attach voices to these forum characters as well, even ones whose voices I know :/I found the same one just now, wanted to come back and post it
