Really, I drove it on Saturday, very nice drive. really low mileage. Only one owner, seems like a little old lady type thing. Car is coming from a reputable dealer. Will probably get our mechanic to go look at it or get his advice on it to see if there is anything we should be warned about.
What sort of problems do they have?

it ranges from just stalling for now reason to gearbox failure. 2 girls I know bought their's new from GM dealer and the rear window "exploded" on both of them.
my ex is driving a white one as well now.... well, I say driving, but it's being pushed most of the time

that bad? how do you mean "exploded", from closing the boot too hard. This is the sedan model.
DOHC, have you driven one of them or had any experiences with them?

They're not very safe thats all i can i say, rather get a corsa C (my dad has one of those, the bakkie version and its got a 4 star euro ncap over the 1.5 - 2 stars that the old one got.

hoooooo, a diesel! good buy. but I see they neglect to put the mileage on there. in my experience, any diesel car going for cheap has A LOT of km's on the clock.

Problem is it is Diesel, my parents are fronting the cash which I will then be paying back, along with a large sum of money for other things so until its me doing the choice 100% I can't go diesel. Found a Citroen C3 diesel and sent that through, turned down flat because it was diesel, so I don't know if I should try.

230 000km, too high.
other problem is I am in southern peninsula, quite a far drive to go look at a car when everyone is busy so getting through to that side is a problem.

i bought my audi a3 with 265 thousand k's on it i've put on on about 25 000 k's during the last year and its still going like a new car, if a car is maintained and serviced properly mileage doesnt matter.
