What movie did you last watch thread.

I'm not the WW2 type of guy, like the modern military movies more. Maybe try Enemy at the Gate or Valkyrie, quite enjoyed those. Also The Pianist is an excellent movie.

I enjoyed Enemy at the Gate, didn't really go for Valkyrie much.

I figured this might be pretty interesting to see what movies people are watching, what is recommended for people going through a genre phase etc.

At the moment I am watching the Star Wars movies, I am about half way through episode 6.

I am thinking of watching the Indiana Jones movies afterwards, I am yet to see the most recent one although I have heard that it was pretty terrible, is this true?
Yes .

started watching Jackal again last night

Watched Total Recall last night. Was ok.
Going to watch the Dark Knight Rises this Sunday in HD on MNet... The irony is that I bought it on DVD months ago already but haven't had time to watch it yet.

They made a fourth one? holy sh*t, I did'nt even know the first film was popular enough to make a sequel
If I remember correctly, the first movie was the movie that had the highest return on investment in history or something like that. It was like dirt cheap to make since they mostly used security cameras and it didn't do too bad at the cinemas. Can't remember the details, but I remember reading something about it.

So a "yes" is a don't bother wasting the time or watch it for a complete idea on the Indiana Jones movies but don't go out and buy the dvd?
don't spend money on it, and don't watch it as part of the series.

will take your advice in to consideration. going to do some digging and see what the media has to say about it.

I did watch "How to Steal 2 Million" last night. It was pretty good for a local movie, got it off the Samsung Video Hub for mahala.
hmm, wonders if the newer Indiana is also free

Chimpanzee

It was either that or Hitchcock. I didn't think that Kid 44 would have much interest in Hannibal pretending to be a famous horror director, so we went for the primates. Visualy it was very good and the underlying story is pretty good as well. The problem is the voice over. Big mistake getting Tim Allen. The script wasn't very good either. The humor was a bit forced on occasion and they tried too hard to make one group of chimps look like bad guys while the other is portrayed as good guys.
An example is the "good chimps" going into the others territory because "their food sources has been exhausted and hunger forces them to be daring". Later the roles are reversed for exactly the same reasons, now the bad chimps are "recklessly crossing the ridge because their food sources has been squandered".

watched identity theif, cause the wife wanted something light hearted.... I wanted to chew through my wrists 10 minutes into the movie. I will never get that time back
