Damn fine coffee

Personally I really do like a dark roast and I'm trying to sound cool her, one of the reasons my Nescafe consumption is down.

In other news Jim is back bringing up the point that games made to a consumer checklist aren't any good, because what we want and what we say we want don't always coincide.
Asking consumers what coffee they drink is a fine example of demonstrating exactly how problematic a focus group can be when designing a product. That would be the same kind of focus group the mainstream videogame industry puts massive amounts of stock into. The kind of group turning promising games into slurry.

Damn Fine Coffee

Also what the hell happened to Fuse, why did you grow up to be so lame, so dull, so brown

My coffee must be strong, hot, black and sweet. And it must be followed closely by another cup of the same.

I like my coffee strong, but not bitter, sweet, but only a little, with milk, but only sometimes. And yes, you can keep it coming!

I prefer decaf though, I'm too sensitive to caffeine!

Decaf won't work for me, I have a 1L flask I bring with me to the library and then later on I'm off for another grande coffee. Just wish I had access to the staff kitchen for refills. Weekends I Start-up the coffee maker and start my day with a double espresso if I still have more studying to catch up on.

Yeah, I used to do that. Could easily down 8 cups a day. Then I went on to the big stuff: Red Bulls, Plays, etc. But then the problems started: stomach pains - Gastric ulcers

Caffeine increases the production of gastric acid in your stomach which lowers the pH. Combine this with exam stress and viola = a lovely ulcer:wtf:
Now I study with decaf, tea, and loads of water:o

Plenty that are. A friend's daughter gets epileptic fits from just a sip. Others it's pure insomnia. So I can understand that.

Didn't know you can get epilepsy from caffeine!? Nowadays I only get tachycardia, palpitations, restlessness and now and again stomach pains.

My coffee consumption is way too high... or was.

Started getting shaky hands from all the amounts of cups I had.

I have had to throw tea in the mix - 1 cup of coffee for every 1 cup of tea.

Favourite is between Jacobs and Nescafé Gold (filtered, if available).

Strong, sweet and black. Cheap brands? I must have hot milk otherwise it tastes like crap.

I drink Ricoffee (yeah, kill me already). My favourite though is Douwe Egberts but I can't afford that right now.
I can't drink too much milk, especially not warm milk - it makes me wanna gag - it's too creamy :wtf:

Filter coffee is awesome though, but the caffeine...

Only drink Jacobs, coffee isn't really a necessity for me more like something to warm the inside.

I love how this turned into a conversation about coffee rather than about what Jim Sterling was actually saying :D

I actually like my coffee how he describes it in the video - a nice medium roast, but it must be strong. None of that Wimpy-grade shite.

With regard to what he is actually saying: I liked the video and tend to agree with him. I think most AAA titles games are made for a very specific audience but the success of Kickstarter projects like Torment: ToN, Project Eternity, Star Citizen etc shows that there is a massive demand for games that don't target the bro-jock stereotype.

Agreed, to me I'm seeing this political correctness stuff that's taking over and as a result there's no flavour anymore. In Briton they got rid of sports day at school because not everyone can win and everyone is afraid of saying anything. Now its happening in games, how do you like a character that's meant to suit everyone and the result is bland boring character and also game experience.

Confession: I didn't follow the link"whistling:
Was wondering why there's a coffee thread in the General Gaming thread. Thought it might have something to do with gaming so didn't mention anything...

Anyways, found this pic this morning:
