DUde that game was so lollies it ended 56/8 but it was something like 50/2 at some stage until half our team were fuckign around and running in and out of their fountain thats where they got to 8 kills :D

dee was actually feeling guilty that game :p

The compendium has stretch goals, like projects on kickstarter. When more people buy the compendium ( its 10$, 25% goes to the prize pool) , the compendium reaches a certain stretch goal, and you get an extra ( like a courier or an HUD or whatever ). Wow.... been a while since I've had a winning steak. More wins than loses in my last 13 games (I think 13 is the number on one page). But it hasn't felt that way.

Ye me 2 my best is 8 wins and also 8 losses lol. Recently I can not do better than 4....

It seems then whenever I go above 4 they throw me into level 80 Games in the opposing team and my team is 30's....

Dammit I still have the BH card to trade for a tusk anyone?
 
I played a little bit with bots last night, but I'm having trouble getting used to the controls and feel of the game, The whole item buying thing is also a bit confusing for me at the moment. Will try again over the weekend to see if I can figure out what is going on.

dont play with bots play with us you will get raped for a good few games we all have been there but its the best way to learn

Eugene if I can give a few tips.
visit this website and read and watch the vids it will give you a basic idea:
Purge guide for beginners

Search his youtube channel he has vids on laning,warding, the shop what to buy where, How to spend your starting gold etc.

He has a section on youtube that is marked learn dota

At least you will understand the lingo and what we call for ingame, where to ward etc.

I played against bots when I started with some friends, they showed me the ropes, then started playing online where i got pooned a bit but are doing much better now :)

you cant have a helm of the dominator and a stygian for example they both change the way your attack works so you wont get lifesteal and armour reduction if you have both those items you will get one or the other. but vlads isnt a unique attack modifier so it can stack with armour reduction stygian

@ Insanity it is apparently only recently that vlads is stacking with an AC, after the patch. Now that gives you and your team a 10-12 armor difference looks like an epic combo. hmm which hero to use it on......

Jugger, or maybe DK omw that would be good with DK :p Tank like a boss

So papa you would not be able to also get a deso on that build for instance....

ah ok, dont think that stacked to be honest. Vlad is not an unique attack modifier as far as I know. might be wrong.

Also the item buying, use a pre-set build, top right corner give you the option to select one. It will show you list of the most up voted builds, generally the top few are good. The really good ones will give you tips on why and which items you should use against certain characters.

I'm still too new to have any idea what you're talking about. I'll watch the videos mentioned earlier and see if I can learn anything.
 
LOL i could never do the watch videos read learning im alwasy one to jump in head first sink or swin type... guess we know why i sink now :D
