Telkom ADSL downtime explained

Telkom explained what caused the country wide ADSL outage on Friday, 7 June

Apparently they were also upgrading the exchanges for vdsl.

Lots of people still had internet in KZN including me so not the entire country

From what I saw it seemed to be Gauteng people complaining the most

20Mbps is the max speed in my area.

I thought I had a problem, later found out about the whole outage/upgrade or whatever.

Checked at home and the office. Home says 10mb is now available and the office 20mb. Only problem is that my line stats at home aren't great so I don't think the upgrade will work and I don't want to risk Telkom messing with my line
