A new homebrewed expansion of New Super Mario Bros wii made by a team of dedicated Wii homebrew dev's who finally completed this after 3 years. Seems legit to me..
Incudes:

  • 128 all-new levels on a gigantic world map
  • Remixed and original graphics, themes and music
  • The return of a classic Power-Up
  • New and old bosses and enemies
  • Fun with 1 to 4 players, just like the original game

The client is 468mb packed.. for those interested to have one last go with their dusty wii's and love mario.

Awesome thanks. I'm starting a new job in July that will give me some more evening (gaming) time. First thing I'm doing is getting a Wii from Gumtree and hooking up Dolphin emu on my PC and playing through Zelda. Might give this a spin while I'm at it.

why do u want to get a wii and dolphin ?

So I can emulate it on the PC without too much trouble, in 1080p with Motionplus and 16xAA. I did it in the past for Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, then got rid of the Wii.

I'm sure he knows why you are getting Dolphin, he wants to know why you are getting Dolphin AND a Wii.

Well, technically all I need is a Wiimote with Motionplus, and the sensor bar. But it's just simpler to buy a console I think. Also the easiest thing with the sensor bar is to attach it to the Wii. All it does is calibrate the Wiimote to the TV and you can use any light sources, but meh.

Maybe for the controllers?
Yeah, there's no easy way to emulate a Wiimote on PC.

You can also buy wireless sensor bars on ebay, plus the generic controllers for very good prices. I have ordered a generic motionplus controller for my WiiU, I will give feedback on how well it works when I receive it.

i have one generic wii mote with built in motionplus and the pointer is erratic compared to my original nintendo branded ones, usually when we played a game the person i liked the least would get that wii mote to play with :p

Well I only paid R144 for a Wiimote with motionplus and a nunchuck so if it's utter crap then it's not much loss. :P

Has anybody tried this Newer SMB in Dolphin yet?
I have a generic wii mote and wireless sensor bar I use on the PC, but use them for the Wii U as well work great.
Was cheap R125 for the wii mote and R50 for the sensor bar.
