Free games on xbox live (For Gold)

if you have a gold xbox live account there are some free games on their way to you... this month is Fable 3 which you can only start downloading through your xbox

Free game of the month

there are also 2 free arcade games:

Harms way <-- co-op racing shooting game (one on a turret gun next to track shooting at enemy racers and other racing :D)

Doritos Crash Course <-- a "Wipeout" style game. :)

When my gold account expired I didn't see any reason to renew it for another year. Maybe the free games will do it but you know how things are with the South African XBox Live accounts, they don't have a lot of the features that the US or UK ones have.

That's why I say change.. u keep everything u have on the xbox... And then more gets unlocked for u:)

Just curious, with your UK account, were you able to just download it? Or do you need to use any sort of VPN?
 
Has this been confirmed for SA gold accounts yet or do I need to switch to UK account?
Just for future and if there are better games as Fable 3 is as crap as they come.

I got it using an SA gold account. I haven't tried downloading it yet though. Basically I bought it for free and then cancelled the download since I'm on LTE. Will try on Friday.
 
What!?trials don't work?well that sucks.
Question:
Can I log my friends profile(gold account) onto my console and download the games that way?
 
Has anyone else (with a US account) had any difficulty downloading Fable 3? I haven't used xbox live in many, many years, and I can't remember running into many IP/location based problems before, if that is what's happening here.

Arghhh, and I just got a 12month sub the other day, hoping I could snap up the free games in the process.
