Apparently the factions aren't really critical anymore, you can apparently now group with people from the other faction and you can use any porticulum (but you may still be attacked by the guards)

Factions are largely irrelevant on a PvE server. Not in an active guild at the moment.

We will resurrect tonight around 7-8PM.I'm playing for the Defiant at the moment. Their classes just looked more... sturdy
Most of our toons are also defiant, but I'm actually keen to try out a guardian just to experience the other side of the coin.

I have to admit, I'm impressed with Rift so far. Then again my expectations were low for the game.
Its great questing, then finding yourself shutting down a Rift Portal with a group. Not too mention going, on an adventure run as well. Note that I'm still pre-level 20, so hoping that there are more pleasant surprises.
I found a South African guild on Gelidra, Afrikaans as well. I applied to Legendary, now I just have to see if I get accepted and etc.
