Winning quote that sums EVE up:

There are -no- good Corporations or Alliances. All are made up of self-serving backstabbers who guage their progress though the game by the number of ISK they have gained by betrayal, ambush, larceny, or fraud. These are, afterall, the qualities encouraged by the Devs, and it should come as no shock that the players you will encounter in the game are those who find these noble ideals. You simply have to go into the game knowing that only the worst examples of Humanity will be found in it, and plan accordingly.

In EVE, a player's honor and trustworthiness are the rarest and least valued commodities in the game. The win-at-any-cost mentality rules just about everyone, and is quite illuminating as to exactly what kind of galaxy we'd make if we ever actually got ourselves an FTL drive.

Hope you find an MMO where there are people of quality. EVE isn't it.
