Cosplay - Experiences and Tips

I have been following the cosplay world for a while now, and I've decided to start out and become a dedicated cosplayer.

So who out there have done cosplaying? Where have you done it, whom did you portray, and what are you doing next?

I'll be cosplaying at both Icon and rAge. For Icon, I'm thinking of doing Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and for rAge, I'm doing Obelix.

I think I would be way too thin for Obelix so you must have a lot of meat on your bones :D.
 
im not sure if i can get to icon. But rAge im busy on my 1st cosplay, that said i dont have alot of time to work on it hope i get it done on time :D

Who are you portraying? I myself have to still build my very own Sasha for the Heavy cosplay. That thing is a bitch to build. All before Icon...:wtf:

My favourite character is in my sig but doubt I would pull it off would probably have to ask my girlfriend to do it when I have one that is and I would be the male character in love with her :D.

Got the similar shape face and colour hair just need to grow my hair more.

It's pretty weird when guys do it tbh ..... I mean, I get dressing up (plenty of costume parties in my time) but cosplay is just odd. Sexy when the girls do it but just :wtf: when the guys do.
 
See, that to me is not weird ..... I mean it's not something I would parade around in, lol ..... but it's costume, not cosplay.

I know I prolly have it wrong but cosplay weirdness to me = dressing up as anime or game characters. Basically, booth babes but manboobs instead :eek:

Cosplay does not end at anime, manga or gaming, it extends to books films and comics too, infact any work of fiction can fall under cosplay.

LOL!!! That guy is at least making a joke... some cisplayers look that terrible and think they look good :)
