Windows 8.1 Release Preview is now available

still have not upgraded to windows 8 at home or office >< not sure what people think about the OS so far

maybe they trying to push it out. Or maybe they stoped making win 7 and only producing win 8 keys

Been using it since Jan, and work has even started installing it on new machines.
It doesn't deserve the bad rap it gets. Best point: it's faster than Win 7. Worst point: the App Store sucks balls (but I don't use it).

Is it more or less user-friendly than Win 7? I'm very picky about these OSs having relatively simple-to-use OSs.
Don't like confusing and hard-to-figure-out software programs, unless it's part of my job.

I've upgraded to 8, I prefer it to 7. My PC seems to run better, I do mostly use the traditional desktop view than the metro view.

Win 8 aint that bad, it takes awhile to get use to though and the whole metro thing with no start button can work on your nerves especially if you the kind of person that needs to run certain apps in Administrative mode like cmd.

My rule of thumb when it comes to Windows, skip a generation before changing. So just waiting on Windows 9 before leaving 7, I still love the ease of 7.
