Who's watching Man of Steel today!

Argh! My eyes!

Let me elaborate though. Superman's okay, but I don't like Clark Kent. That's why I couldn't tolerate anything past the first few seasons of Smallville.

I like Clark:o... To be fair though, Smallville did go too far, I stayed only because I'm a Supes fanboi:o

I'll just leave this here :p

I'm going to watch Sunday @ Brooklyn. Tried to book for the prescreenings during the week, but was fully booked. I love Superman. He's my all time favourite super hero.

Watched it last night. Really enjoyed it. Some parts could have improved but I definitely think its the best Superman movie thus far. Much better than most of Marvel too...

Going at 20:00. I actually kinda liked the last movie, but this should be better I suppose. Christopher Nolan did a great job with Batman (of which I must still see the last one). I just hope they don't make this a trilogy as well. I hate trilogies.

It was decent, I would have liked it to be a bit more introspective though. The characters got a bit lost in the whole "save the world" plot and didn't really get a whole lot of time to grow. Things were a bit too busy all the time, not much time to sit and reflect on things. Better pacing could really have put things into focus a bit more.

I would say Superman Returns is the superior movie in many regards, especially in terms of storytelling, BUT I still enjoyed Man of Steel and I feel they have set up a pretty interesting Superman Universe which hopefully they can exploit in future movies. AFAIK they have already green lit a sequel.

Going to watch it tomorrow at Parow Centre (aka Gamlam Centre) <---- (Capetonians and coloureds will get this reference). :D

Pretty much this.
Although it was good, I don't see myself buying the dvd or watching it again. It is a bit more intense than other superman movies, series, etc. Superman was in desperate need of a reboot (that 1981 movie was way too old), but I think I would have preferred if Byan Singer handled it.

I'm quite a Singer fan myself. I really enjoy his work and his focus on character building.

Went in to the movie without any expectations.

It was a good and captivating movie. A definite must watch for anyone.

This is basically the movie. The movie really lacked focus. Also clarks moms make up was a let down that was suppose to make her look older but it looked so bad and unnatural.
