The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Just a head's up, Commie has subbed the 3rd Berserk Film! So for those whom have waited patiently you have been rewarded.

Enjoyed last ep of Shingeki no Kyojin. Watched three eps in one go :D But now I'm wondering if I should hold out for all the rest or should I give up and read the manga....?

You might be less frustrated if you pick up the manga - I say this not having watched episode 13 yet. Hopefully something of substance happens. I'm not holding my breath though.

Yeah something does happen ;) So it's worth the watch. I don't know though about the manga....I accidently read something about the armoured titan and the colossal titan which has me thoroughly intrigued....and I'm not sure if I can hold out.

Genshiken is back, with a new crew and a lot more female fans in the club. Check it out in our new Anime Spotlight!

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/anime-spotlight/2013/summer/genshiken-second-season

Seems like there's going to be a new season of Genshiken coming, which I am excited about.

I can't help but notice that this generation of Genshiken has an all-female cast aside from one male

The first club was more balanced.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you would generally find more male otaku to female ones (be it marginal or not). Thus, there being only one guy and six girls in Genshiken doesn't quite make sense. Wait, no... 1 guy, 5 girls, and 1 girl-boy :wtf:

Read the Manga,I've read up until the latest and it gets intense.I couldn't wait for the next ep release.

Anyone here watch Infinite Stratos? season 2 starts in November.

It's somewhere on one of my drives, and on my "I'll watch it eventually" list - I'm in no huge rush to watch it until such time as I have a shortage - which isn't anytime soon if my backlog is any indication.

The impression I got from it was a case of let's throw this hapless dude into the middle of a bunch of hot girls with all the generic harem personalities and make things happen. And someone put mechs in there. And don't forget the fan-service!! :D

That being said, I'll watch pretty much anything, so I'll get there eventually. Unless of course there's another season of ToLove Ru (likely) in which case it'll get pushed back again :p

Ooh weee!

I was in Cape Town this past week and got some awesome manga, Initial D, House of 5 Leaves and FLCL. (got FLCL and Initial for R59.95 a vol)

I was actually looking for a FLCL omnibus, sadly they were sold out :/ I did however find a Gundam illustrations book, can't remember the name atm but I was out slightly of my budget. perhaps next time.

Oh hi...

Watched Death Note (first Anime I watched, and BEST!)
Then Elfen Lied (oooooh so cool)

Now watching Higurashi, High School Of The Dead, Gantz (really strange and cool), Mirai Nikki, Paranoia Agent, Monster, Baccano!

Baccano!: Another classic, good story telling, loveable characters and superb pacing. If you have not watched it yet give Durarara!! a try a similar type of plot just a different time frame :)

Monster: I Effin' Love that show! A bit slow to start off with - it drags its heels halfway through - You'll love it in the end. (I highly recommend you read the manga)

Elfin Lied: I saw it more as a "shock horror" type series, perhaps I should try the manga, it could be more to my liking.

Mirai Nikki: OMFG. Stalker Girlfriend a l e r t ! A bit disappointing in the end. Good nonetheless.

Give Steins;Gate a watch, you'll love it, also TTGL and Code Geass (some good mecha never hurt anyone) :)

Thanks, I really like the way they did Elfen Lied, the storyline is not the best but the way the gore and nudity is presented I felt was really cool when you compare with other normal type of ecchi stuff...

Been looking for Speed Grapher too.

Ooh! Speed Grapher, while friends disliked it. I enjoyed it. Two men going full out for one thing, both wanting to win - Either having vastly different ideals. Made a good show - loved the animation they used in the intro worked well as well with the opening song.

Sword Art Online
Senran Kagura
Devil Survivor 2
Shingeki NO Kyojin

Like any other anime? Those are pretty recent ones - which I find lacking in uniqueness or content.

Currently watching Kotoura, it's a Romantic comedy but i'm finding it mildly entertaining. I am 100% certain I can find something to watch in 4TB's of anime but I guess I am lazy.

I enjoyed kotoura San. Wasn't bad at all.
