PS Vita... Worth getting or not?

I would rather pay cash for it than on credit,there are so many specials going on it now,but I'll wait till next year when more games are available for it.
 
There will be much more games released soon to coincide with the ps4 launch.
I bought a bundle from Makro last week but keeping it in the cupboard for the litie till his birthday.

I think it's now time to upgrade from the psp and with the good deals floating around, you save around R1000 so that can't be a bad move.

Damn I missed that deal at Makro :( :(

Trying to look if any other retailers are going to have a similar deal. BT games have the same deal except you have to choose either COD OR Assassins creed.

Good plan but if you want, get a PS+ subscription and grab the games already free (bonus if you on PS3) since you just have to add them to your basket to keep it. Some users i have read on NeoGaf have been getting games collected for months before purchasing the device.

Remember that PS+ subscription carries over to PS4 so 3 devices + 1 subscription is a win :D.

Edit: Here is something to get you excited if you buy a PS+ subscription today ;-)

I remember seeing in a previous thread that the PS Vita will have a massive price drop soon,that's why I'd rather wait.

There has already been a massive drop at most retailers. BT games is selling the wifi model with 3 games + memory card for R1999. Ain't going to get it any cheaper than that. And let me say that coupled with a playstation + account it is pure win.
 
Well the PS Vita has cool features yet expensive and has a quite similar price tag to a tablet pc. I would rather buy a tablet than the Vita because it can do more than the Vita.

Agreed, you not comparing apples with apples. However, let me tell you that I sold my Nexus 7 and bought the Vita and it has blown me away! I am going to write a thread about my experience compared to the 3DS XL.

The Vita can do a lot more than most people think. Its not just a gaming console, it really is a entertainment unit. You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Browser, amazing display, touch screen, 3G if you wish, its sick.
 
I'm loving my vita. The back log of PSone and psp games is great but it does need more aaa titles. As a device though, it's brilliant. Screen is amazing and it's crazy to play console quality games like Unchartered on it. Persona 4 Golden is reason enough to get it.
 
I think i would be worth it, just get yourself PS+ like most people are saying.

Since i got PS+ i have not purchased a single game and i still have a backlog of about 15 games.

Ps Vita gets just a many new games as the PS3.
 
PlayAsia currently has Persona 4 Golden on sale for only R215.

Bought my copy there a few months back since the local price is insane.

I'm busy playing it at the moment, and if you're into RPG's I can't recommend it enough!
Definitely one of the best Vita games.
 
I do think is that it offers great value for money when you consider the amount of Vita games being released free of charge to PS+ subscribers as part of the Instant Games Collection every month. I have almost all the games activated on my PSN account and will be getting one this holiday as I have about 7 games waiting for me to download and play.

If you are looking at getting a PS4 then it also makes sense getting a Vita but then rather wait and see if PS4/Vita bundles will be announced. It is a good handheld but it just doesn't manage to take enough market share away from the likes of the DS for some reason.
