I told you guys that the point/s system is a problem. Everyone is going to want to setup threads without searching to see if original ones were created prior. :rolleyes:

James usually merges threads when I point out duplicates to him, if he thinks they're similar enough.
 
I was actually wondering about the creating threads thing the other day, i have made a few topics that i thought where noteworthy and useable by all. As one of the competition requirements was to create Topics etc, i wonder what impact it actually has on bettering your chance to win? I supposed i could just sit spamming thread ratings and adding rep to stay above board for the compo's.

Points system is of no concern to me. I'm here for the idle chat, albeit pointless a lot of the time.

i still prefer the reward based comps rather then any randoms with no loyalty to MyG can win maybe there should be a better way to reward but still

Yeah for sure, and so will i hey. I was trying more to point out that sure having a points system makes the forum more active, but there are a few select that are actually trying to make the forum more interesting rather than spam rep etc :)

I honestly think post count, has the most weight in the points system as i dont create new threads and i dont spam rep i do however talk a lot of shizzle :D
 
Now I have to actually go into Off Topic, just to see which Introduction thread was posted in...
