I've got a quick question.
I'll cut to the chase.
I've sent my phone in for repairs (with Virgin Mobile).
Now, the phone should still be under warranty.
Anyway. They've sent my mom a quote on its repair for R 1400.10
All the phone needs is a software reset and a new battery, since the the one it had, had swollen.
That, what they are charging is ridiculous! The phone (new) doesn't even cost that much! And besides, it's supposed to be under warranty. Why are they charging!?!
If I were to cancel the contract, around what price would I be paying as cancellation fee?

Why couldnt you just change the battery and do the software reset yourself its not hard
Also dont see why it would be even over R500 let alone R1400.10.

I would expect that if it's under warranty, I don't pay for the repair.

You shouldnt pay at all I never did when using vodacom and when it was out of warranty it was only R500 even with replacing parts and stuff.
So they taking advantage of you it seems so I would report it to hellopeter.
