Put another way, when doesn't he lie? Very little he sprouts is credible these days. His sole concern is scoring points for himself & party. Has to be one of the worst presidents ever.

MY suspicion is that they are keeping him on LS until either his birthday or for some other political date that they need the masses support on.
 
Not sure if I believe there is a political "conspiracy" to keeping him alive. If it comes out that the presidency has bee keeping him alive it will be very damaging (even they are not that stupid...I think).

If he is being kept alive then it is most likely his family trying to resolve the whole burial location thing.
 
I don't trust his family, and I don't trust Zuma, but I'll trust his doctor (hopefully he hasn't turned to the dakrside yet).
I think Mandela is just very sick, but not brain dead. His lungs is just screwed, he had TB years ago and I'm pretty sure the treatment he received wasn't as good as today's treatment.
