Tried installing using my DVD drive now.
It's too old and vrot to even read the boot disc. Will have to wait until I can install it by someone else -- or buy a (long overdue) new SATA DVD Writer.

next time use clonecd and mount the ISO on that instead of copying it anywhere works way better.
