Have you seen some of the "wedding dresses" not a freaking chance, plus I dont want to waste all that money on one day. I rather buy a house with it.

Me and the wife were VERY lucky with our wedding. We got so much cash as wedding gifts, it covered all the honeymoon costs.

that's what I'm hoping for. I worked a "slogan" into the invite asking people in a nice way to rather bring cash

but apparently the maid of honor and her fiance (mostly only the fiance) will be sponsoring our honeymoon.... apparently.....

A friend of mine married the daughter of a pretty well off business man. He paid for the wedding and their honeymoon. Two weeks in Mauritius. One of those packages with everything included, even the booze.

obviously :rolleyes:. ek dink nie dis meer in vandag se tyd weird om vir geld te vra nie. ek meen meeste mense bly mos in anycase saam voor hulle trou en het al als wat hulle nodige het om saam te bly.

Ek het vir jou goeie en slegte nuus.... die goeie is jy sal nie maklik R2000.00 op 'n trourok spandeer nie..... die slegte nuus is dit sal eerder iets wees soos R5000.00 :)

Tydmors - hence why I wont do it, IF and that is a big IF I get married, justice of peace, witnesses, a cheap but nice dress, (something that can be used again) that is all I want.

Sounds like my cousin, he got divorced a couple of months later though :p
