I'm going to do a Max Payne 2 giveaway, but I'm still undecided if I should have a minimum CV value or not.

The game is region locked here, and I had to jump through a couple of hoops to be able to get it. I don't really want it going to someone who has participated in the giveaways but I also don't want to exclude people though. What are your guys thoughts?

Here's my way of thinking: If it's a good game, then the entrants must have a CV of at least $30.01, meaning they gave more than just bundled games away. I don't want leechers winning my GA's.

Ah ok, that partially explains why my give-aways have gotten stuck on $30. I've created 15 give-aways but couldn't get my CV any higher. Most of them came from bundles except Greed, detour and horde. But they might have been in bundles at some point I guess. Or maybe they don't count because they were the first ones I gave away.

Thanks for the advice, I feel the same way.

Am I the only one who can't see my sig? Please let me know if it's not showing up for you guys as well.

Yes, they must've been in bundles. To check, when you create a giveaway, bundled games will have a * next to the name, e.g. Alan Wake*

Even if you bought a game from the steam store before the game was bundled, steamgifts will see the game as being from a bundle if you made the GA after the game was bundled. (it won't change a game you already gave away - therefor, you shouldn't store GA games in your inventory too long)

Giveaway is up. Enjoy!

Great:) Will that game be able to play in SA if we can't access the store page?

Of course :) It's a region free game, just for some reason the publisher decided that we aren't worth having it in our store, probably red tape or something like that. Maybe they couldn't get the ratings board to review it, who knows.

They did the same for Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition, which pissed me off immensely because it's available in our Origin store, :wtf: EA?
