Hi there. I recently uploaded GTA SanAndreas on my PC and it did'nt work so i went to Incredible Connection and they told me i needed a GD(Graphics Card), and according to them there are different GD cards. So what GD card should i get in order for GTA to play and should i get a LCD monitor or would the CRT do fine?

CRT monitor is fine, San Andreas is quite an old game so pretty much any gpu on the market now will play it plenty fine. How much money are you looking to drop on it and how far in to the future do you want it to last.
LCD monitors are usually much higher native resolutions which require a stronger graphics card

What motherboard do you have?

Download CPUz (a program) if you don't know.

Your GPU probably won't cost more then R1000,if you are willing to spend R2000 then you can probably get a decent monitor as well.

Also:
CPU - Central processing unit
GPU/VPU - graphics processing unit/visual processing unit - The graphics card
PSU- Power Supply unit

Depending how old you PC is you might also need a slightly larger PSU,they are pretty cheap.

My PC is quite old but running on Windows7 Software. I think its best that i backup my files, reformat my PC, sell it and save up for a Alienware PC or laptop.

don't do it... get a pc shop to build you a pc or you will spend 35% of your money on brand name and not performance.
as for you laptop go with asus, gigiabyte or MSI. you will get more for your money or a way cheaper laptop

Take a look at RebelTech and TitanIce online stores to get an idea of what things.

You can make a thread on assembling and buying parts and we would be more then happy to help you out (etc getting best price to performance ratio)

A V I O D! Alienware. It's over priced (dell) hardware you can get for 50% of the price at an honest PC store.

Get CPUz and Click on mainboard as well as CPU and tell us what it says.

Listen to the above members. Rather build your own rig.
For pricing enquiries, PM The Joker.

If you budget allows, get a LCD monitor. Makes quite a difference on your eyes with prolonged gaming. :)

I can vouch for The Joker as well. Bought my whole PC, screen and all, from him, and I got a pretty awesome machine at a very good price
