New Riddick game in the works, confirmed by Vin Diesel

I only played escape from butcher bay, really enjoyed the game but found it to be too short, would like to play assault on dark athena sometime before I play this one coming.

I've played very little of the previous titles, sad to say. So I can't really look forward to the next installment all that much.

Escape From Butcher Bay is one of the better games based on a movie series. I liked it. Assault on Dark Athena was okay, but nothing too special in my opinion. AODA also has an HD remake of EFBB too. Starbreeze did the right thing with both games and didn't try to recreate an existing movie in a game, which is where most titles of this nature fail. It told the story of events that took place before Pitch Black, and answered a lot of questions, like how Riddick got his eyeshine ability (EFBB).

As long as they don't rush it and make it a tie-in with the upcoming film, it might end up being good.

I remember seeing NAG rate it 96%, was one of the highest ratings I had seen them give a game and thought, damn I must play this game to see why it was so high, I was not disappointed.

Initially it took me a while to get in to it, but once I did I was hooked. I've played it through a few times since. I had a few issues with it including the fact that it looked and felt like a port, which it was. I have to disagree with you when you stated earlier that you thought the game was short. Call of Duty games are short. EFBB provided at least several hours of play -- just when I thought the game would end, a new, even more challenging chapter opened.
