TERA going F2P

Yet another pay to play MMO is biting the dust, as TERA Europe announced yesterday that the MMO would be going Free-to-play in February:

February will mark a new era as TERA will open its doors anew, free to play for everybody! Enjoy all of the content for free and fight together with old and new friends to save the world from eternal darkness.

As of the F2P launch, three levels of benefits apply - newly registered users will be Free Users (obviously), while those who have previously purchased the game will automatically become Veteran Users, with additional benefits. Those who choose to maintain their subs will be part of the TERA Club, receiving the highest level of benefits, boosts and bonuses. The comparison chart can be found here.

As can be expected, Free Users operate under the most restrictions, but it appears as though they will still have access to all the game content.

 
Sweet, now I will give the game a try. The only appeal for me is the combat. Also the f2p model doesn't look too restricting.
 
The gameplay was awesome when I took part in the Beta. Definitely works very well with a controller. I actually imported a retail copy a while back, but I haven't gotten around to activating it yet.
 
Do they think skimpy clothes really appeal to all gamers?
I'll give it a go when its F2P, but not sure what to expect.

So after playing a while last night i realised there is actually nudity in tera xD

Actually, before they got around to doing all the censoring and changes to make things more palatable for a Western audience, the amount of eye-candy in TERA was pretty much in your face. The high-level armours (for some races at least) left very little to the imagination.
 
Must say though enjoying the unlimited trial quiet alot

Oh and i made a char exactly like that picture, and that "armor" shes wearing is heavy plate mail lol
 
I've been jumping between this and GW2 for the past couple of days. I'm a very casual MMO player and probably spend less than 45 minutes a day playing. That being said, I'm enjoying the combat of TERA a lot.

Question... How do you log in? I downloaded everything and it won't let me play because I am from 'Africa' and it is a high risk (according to them) country (hacking.... Doh!)
