MyGaming suggestion box

I have issued an infraction. I agree that it was tasteless and should not be condoned by those who interact in a civilised way.

However, it is a slightly difficult decision on taking it further as I do not wish to be an arbiter around matters of free speech and what constitutes acceptable forms of humour or social behaviour.

The hope is that the community regulates itself, as most civilised social structures strive to achieve.

If the personal attacks continue, even in "harmless" fun, then I will have to enforce more serious repercussions.

Must have missed something what happened today that cause a riot :p.

I only get reputation comments here on worthy posts havent seen any random reps yet.

Hi guys, thanks for reporting the bugs. The forum developers are working on fixes. I'll check with them to see if this is being rectified.

Thanks will be happy once it works again :D.

Seems like News and other parts work fine with changing to mobile and back, its just the forum part.

Yes, we definitely need an option (drop-down box) in the MyGaming Mobile View -- for it to be reverted back to MyGaming Default or Menu Modified.

Is there any way to get the ignore function to be more effective? At the moment it only hides the content of the persons posts, but you can still see that they posted and view the post. It also shows that they posted if you browse through threads with new unread posts.

When I put someone on ignore I don't want to know when they've made a post, in fact I don't even want to know they exist.

James, could you clarify if the sit out periods on comps are exclusive to types of activity comps or whether they are general.

Activity competition winner exclusion guidelines

Those who have won previous activity competitions will be excluded for a few months from future competitions so as to give others a fair chance.

There will be a 3 - 6 month sit out, depending on the prize category and value.

- Console or high-end gadget such as a tablet PC = 6 month sit out.
- Peripheral such as a keyboard or mouse = 3 month sit out.

For example, I've won an Xbox, does that mean I get to sit out all activity comps for the 6 month period, or could I still be eligible for peripherals and games in that 6 month Xbox/Tablet sit out period?

Personally, it's neither here nor there for me, I just ask since it's causing a slight stir with the current Xbox comp, and some clarification would help members in future comps ;)

Yes this please!
Been bothering me too.
Would be nifty to have.

I see what you mean, I have added this:

For example, if you have won a prize in the console/gadget category, you are still eligible for the peripheral competition, and vice versa.

This is what I had noticed in previous competitions. They're categorised - as far as I can/could tell.
Especially after having won a prize a week or two before - and still being eligible for a chance at winning a console.

We have to make do with the standard vB implementation of such tools to avoid forum issues with plugins etc.

This has been evidenced with our recent SNAFU on the Xbox 360 competition, as the activity system is a 3rd-party plugin - an update broke it. However, it adds such value to the forum that we decided it in particular was worth the risk. We will learn from the mistake and be more careful in future.
