Dragon Age: Origins DLC failed

Downloading it through Origin -- perhaps the downloaded version won't give as much trouble.

If you didn't hate Origin before, you will soon :o

You'll still need to download the DLC through the game (or offline) though. One of Origin's many continued failings...

So I should discontinue the download and re-install from the ISO I have?

Edit: Nevermind -- I'll just go ahead and do it anyway.

Hard to say. Origin means no need for a CD or CD emulator.

But... It's version 1.0.

Also depends on if you have Awakening.

If you do you need to follow this order:

1. Install Origins
2. Install Awakening
3. Patch

Before you install any DLC.

Otherwise it fucks everything up and you have to wipe it all.

I've had so much hassle with it.

I don't have Awakening, so that may have caused more problems than it's worth.

At least one character from Awakening is in Dragon Age 2 and does something that'll most certainly carry into Dragon Age 3. You might want to play it if you get into the series.

But I might be getting ahead of myself here.

I still maintain that if you want to enjoy the game as stress-free as possible... Get the Ultimate Edition on Steam :o But it's a bit pricier now, after the sales are done...

I don't have a CC, nor a job, so I cannot purchase anything.

I've played Dragon Age 2 a few times from over, but never really got into it. Perhaps finishing DAO will change that.

Ah, I see.

I'm a sucker for the characters in the series, especially Morrigan and Flemeth. I really can't wait to see how Flemeth ties into everything. Also, CAPTAIN JANEWAY FOR THE WIN!

Not too great a fan of Morrigan. She was fine at first, but her creepy, sarcastic and just plain morbid personality started working my nerves. When I eventually met up with Wynne, I switched out characters as soon as possible. Besides, Wynne has a lot more beneficial powers towards the group success in battle than I ever had with Morrigan.

My group currently consists of:

Liza Cousland (My character)
Wynne
Leliana
and
Alistair

Everyone agrees with my methods in the game, cause I try to be as helpful to all NPCs as possible, and they approve of that.

With Morrigan or Sten - they had disapproved of everything almost all the time, and that just outright annoyed me.

Haha... I loved the interactions between Morrigan and Alistair :D

You get a feast day gifts pack or something as DLC with stuff you can give them to cheer them up or peeve them off depending on how you want your relationship with them to be.

Morrigan and Sten aren't all bad. Sten likes cookies!

Meh. The team that I have now are far more than sufficient. Though, I need to get Leliana to be a little more useful - doing backstabs and such. She dies more often than is necessary despite how I've based her tactics out.
