It is,Console players would just have a disadvantage against PC players.

I hear Warframe is going to have cross platform play between the PC and PS4 (it's viable since you are playing against the AI aka PvE and not against other players)

I don't see how cross platform play would have worked anyway. The PS4 owners would be at a massive disadvantage.
