Guild Wars 2

My favourites in the new update are the account wallet, the addition of another WvW rank category to spend points in and being able to choose your Finisher :D It's the small changes that count!
 
I haven't played pvp in ages, simply because their ranking system sucked. I hope it's fixed now (tried looking for some news on it but no luck)
 
Yo people on what server do you peoples play on? I play on Aruora Glade if I am correct. There is like an all South African Guild on there and everything. I`m only lvl 35 and play less frequent since the beginning of classes again, but add me if you wanna. I mean gw2 is a game where you need to play with buddies to appreciate the little things! Character name is Aspersie. See you guys online at some point

I think most if not all of us are on Aurora. Unfortunately those of us that still play are doing high level content mostly, trying to get those legendary's. :)

Are you guys part of that SARS guild? :) and its chilled, I'm just playing for the fun and will at some point probably be up there with you okes
 
Well, I'm with GWSA Guild - a friendly relaxed guild, who do PvE, PvP, and a smallish group of regular WvW'ers.

Checked out the new content. You can basicaly buy all the gear with gold.

Also get horrific lag when doing the arena...

I'll stick to my solo pvp and pve content for now.

You also have to have groups to fight the veteran mobs ...
 
I find it impossible to solo due to the number of veterans in mobs, 8+ veterans and or a champion/legendary + constant interference by 4 + veterans and watch knights ... to be not doable ... , and yes, even with my full condition Mesmer it takes too long solo ... , if I don't have interference from others ...

Why would you want to solo it though? If you want the achievement, merely hitting it twice while roaming with the zerg will be enough. If it's about the reward you just have to do enough damage in the zerg to tag it and with the extra 150% magic buffs they give in the centre of the arena, you barely have to touch them to tag the mob.
 
I have been there at times, when no one was participating in the events, just poor old me ... , with my Mesmer, which only has 1600+ base condition damage, don't think I can take that much higher ...
 
If any of you guys are interested in farming champions. Isen and I found a group hunting in Cursed shore. Just go to cursed shore and ask where the pain train is and enjoy :D. Got an about 20+ chests in a span of an hour.

What server on you on? I got the achievement over the weekend and no matter what time of day I played there was a zerg for the events (sometimes two idiotically doing both events at the same time). I was usually stuck in Overflow as well.

Am on Aurora Glade, been there a few more times, with better success, made enough to upgrade 4x 15 slot bags to 4x18 slot bags, and an extra bag slot for my Mesmer.
 
Thinking about rolling a Thief - how does playing a thief compare to playing a mesmer?

Talking about play style etc.

Depends on what you want to do.
I wouldn't advise making a thief for dungeons, more for pvp. Thieves are a bit more fragile, but with extremely high mobility. Where mesmers can be played as a support/dps, a thief is mainly a high burst damage dps character that relies on flanking the target. Seeing as they are extremely fragile and are usually melee, doing dungeons are quite a hassle.
