Since you're newb gamer, I'm curious, what kind of gamer are you?

Action/Adrenaline Junkie (plays high paced, high action games)? Tranquil Gamer (playing games that make you zen, yes they exist)? Strategist? Puzzle Solver?

Do you like first/third person shooters (Call of Duty, Splinter Cell, Battlefield, Crysis, etc), side scrollers/platformers (Sonic, Rayman), RPG (The Witcher, Dragon Age), hell even sports games (FIFA, PES, Madden, NBA)... blah blah

Also, what games have you played and enjoyed, and what games are you currently playing, if any?

Based on your answers, I'll give you some recommendations... Hopefully that will help you on your gamer journey.

And that will be Dee's solid for the day.

PS: bear in mind, there really isn't a barometer for determining what kind of gamer one is, I'm just using this as a base to gauge where you fit in...

Okay lets go....

Im a Action/Adrenaline Junkie, Puzzle solver and Strategist. I've play COD on PS3 and PC. Which I love. I've played Splinter Cell Conviction, Grid, NFS and Warframe as well. I've played Nancy Drew series, CSI and still need to play Bioshock. Also played Mystery Trackers, Portal, Tomb Raider. I also like the Zoo Tycoon. There's still a few others that's not important. I'm currently playing Sims coz I don't have much time lately.

I've played more on the PS3 and Xbox than PC. But I only game on PC now. So I haven't played much yet and no I don't have a Steam backlog either. Bare in mind that i've been gaming on PC for only 5 months now. I'm trying to build my knowledge and experience on a small amount of time so it's taking me forever. Like I said before for the last 7 years of my life I was not privileged to play any games at all whatsoever, except when I went to visit my brother. My Xbox got borked because "I was spending to much time on it."

So yeah that's about my life story. I don't think I need to prove to anyone if I'm really a gamer or not. We've been through this a million times (not directed to you Dee). I'm just stating this. I came to the MyG forum so I can learn more. You will also see I don't post much in other threads that's not Off Topic as I feel very aware of the fact that I don't know much. I'll rather lurk in those threads and learn before I hit my name with a plank lol!

Anything else?? :D

Edit: I remembered now back in the day I also played my stepfathers Age of Empires oh yes and that Zuma game. Lol!

Cool, now I know what we're working with here :D

Games you might like:

Battlefield: Bad Company II
Battlefield III
Bulletstorm
NFS: Hot Pursuit
Split Second Velocity
Far Cry 3
Saint's Row The Third
Alice: Madness Returns
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Games That I'd recommend regardless of anything:

The Mass Effect Trilogy (Get your hands on this as fast as you can )
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (I'm probably the only MyG gamer who plays this:rolleyes:)
Sleeping Dogs
Sonic Generations
Batman Arkham City
Trine 2
---------------------------------------------------

This is merely a rough list though, mostly from the stuff I've played, but there are tons of games out there just waiting to be played.

That is my solid for the day.

Game and Let Game...
