advis for R5000 system

yes, an 8350 with a weak gpu won't get the most out of the cpu though, a stronger gpu will mean you get more out of the cpu.
Ie a 8350 with a R500 gpu compared to an i3 with a R1700 gpu for gaming. Really depends on the need of the pc and when you are prepared to upgrade again.

Take Simon's advice, get a cheaper mo
therboard.
Reason being you will never use all the RAM slots, PCIe lanes and the fancy BIOS.

Rather stick to your original idea. Hardware changes so fast, you will be waiting for ever for the next best thing.

Try to keep all your orders to a minimum of one store atleast. Otherwise you'll have problems if you have to do returns for warrenties.
 
i just dont want to get @*@*@* parts just because i have a small budget.............

but yeah i see what you mean with the board.....

so rather get a better cpu and gpu???

the fx8350 and what card??

or would you say to switch intel,if im deciding to spend more ?
 
Well I will put it this way I wouldn't spend more than about R1100 on a board.
Intel you are looking at an i5 for equivalent which is more expensive, have you looked at the cheaper quad core AMD cpu's? Reason why I say this is Wootware are selling the 7870's for R2400, so a cheaper AMD quad and a 7870 will blow a 8350 and R1000 cheaper gpu out the water, partly because the 8 cores don't get used the way they should so its all kind of wasted away.
Remember the cpu is the last thing on the board that normally needs to be upgraded as games etc usually use more gpu power over cpu (to a certain extent).

This is all true unless you plan on upgrading your system anyway at a later stage as you could always Crossfire. I still agree with simon though...

so for the same performance Intel will be more expensive.....

so R1100 for a board will be max,on any system??

and the fx830 with the 7870?

i see there is still a lot that i need to think over

Well I am going to go out on a limb here and say this (hope it doesn't come out as though I am insulting as that is completely not the reaction I want) because you are asking for advice on a system your pc expertise are not that of an IT guru the chances of you overclocking any of the components and thus having a need for the faster speed ram modules would be pretty low so yeah R1100 will get you a very decent motherboard for your needs.
Yeah if you can afford that cpu and the 7870 then go for it.

No its fine,im the one asking the questions,you are give your opinion,and what you think,that i appreciate!
I wont take anything the wrong way as i was the first one wanting advise.....

At the moment my head is spinning with ideas and builds and so on.......
I was sure what i wanted and now im back at square one...
I dont want a build that is ..... just beacause i didnt want to take out the extra cash,and loosing in performance.........then have to upgrade anyway

The amd vs intel thing,yeah i see now its a useless question as everyone has his own opinion on that,but what i see so far is that amd is cheaper compared to intel(my opinion like said)i never used AMD before as i didnt now much,but now i see what i missed,both have there pro's and con's,but ill go AMD now as they are better priced(again my opinion)

What i want now is a solid build that will last that is easy to upgrade when push comes to shove and that will not go high in price

R5000 gets me decent build FOR NOW,but that like everyone you cant stop yourself wanting more and more,thats why i said maybe take the budget out the story and see what we can get then BUT I DONT WANT T SPEND R15000 AND R20 000 hell no

It is 8 cores, but so is the 8120, 8150, 8320, 8350 blah blah blah... :D
I think you have the 8120...?

All FX CPU's are great value...and yes the R600 more for the 8350 is worth it...if you are going to use it... :P

I can see this ending badly so here goes.

My 2c
You wanted a 5k system we supplied multiple builds for one, but you are going way off of your budget and worrying about a few Mhz in CPU differences, what GPU to get still and now a SSD (which is not worth unless it's 200GB's+ in size and they just make booting and loading times faster). Not worth it unless you are happy with everything else in your system, and you want that extra bit of speed.

Don't OC unless you know what you are doing, and also OC'ing is hit and miss. You could get one of those mythological 5GHz chips or a dud one that can't OC past 200 mhz.

There are pro's and cons to Intel and AMD but right now those differences are so small you wouldn't even notice them.

Another reason why we are recommending a AMD CPU to you is because AMD is less likely to change their sockets in the future. Unlike Intel whom do so at every new CPU release. So if AMD releases a new CPU next year there is a good chance that it will still be AM3+.

In the end you will have to upgrade. It's just the way of life, I spent R7000 on my PC in 2010 and it's still going strong, because I planned ahead and my gaming style is not what it used to be. I used to be focused on AAA titles and wanted it to look really awesome and cool, fast Forward one and a half later years and what I played had changed. I much prefer indie games, and pick up the once AAA titles on steam sales or at CNA, I don't really enjoy big budget titles anymore.

I believe it also heavily depends on what games you will be playing as well, no point in getting a super system if you play CS:GO or DOTA 2.
