Ive seen laptops with ati radeon 7670m and nvidia gt630m graphics cards.I know these are middle of the range.
My budget is R10000 for a laptop.Please give me some good advice.Id like to play most current games at good resolutions.

I have this one I play lara croft on it.
The Roccat laptops are awesome but 12000 is two grand out my budget!
I like the Lenovo,its awesome,but i have to have a hard drive status led on my laptop.Just a preference,as i like to see if a program has frozen or not.Does this lenovo have a hdd status led?

Im looking at 2 laptops with these different screens but cant decide.I dont understand resolution etc.
Will be using the laptop for work as well as gaming.Is the 17" a higher resolution?
Does your model have the GT740M, though? The earlier version with the GT650M was a good bargain.
There are several revisions of the Y500, not all of them use the same chassis design in all countries. If I were you, I'd seriously consider that R12k Roccat lappie. Otherwise...

A little out of budget, but its got good hardware for the price. The new Lenovo Y510 is a great choice, though.
Will frame rates in games be lower than the smaller screen?
Yeah that's the one I have, seems the dollar rate has push the price pass the 10k now. Since I got it for R10 079
you can set your in-game resolution to a lower setting so that it does not affect you at all...
