Greetings Dragon lady... Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Vamp (Unless we end up on opposite sides in BF3 ;)), truth be told I don't have anything against anyone as such really (is that why I'm supposedly Canadian, Murph:wtf:?), I'm just of the opinion that he's a lot smarter than some of his posts...
he called you Canadian cause Canadians are notorious for being too friendly even after beating someone up. dont you watch HIMYM?

Isn't the correct Answer (4)? I mean total Purchases for the year are stated as R540 000, then you take off the R650 for Freight charges and also take off R2000 for the returns. Then you are left with Nett Purchases for the Cost of sales calculation...

I didn't look at it in detail, but I agree with this reasoning.

*edit*

I hate how they try to distract you with inventory figures. Shitty examiners.

Oh I think so:

Use the information below to answer question 11:
The following information was obtained from the records of Cool Limited for the year ended
28 February 2012:

Inventory (1 March 2011) 149 500
Sales 750 000
Purchases 540 000
Sales returns 1 500
Purchases returns 2 000
Freight charges on purchases 650
Freight charges on sales 1 700
Settlement discount granted 350

A physical inventory count on 28 February 2012 indicated that inventory on hand amounted to
R400 000.

12. If the gross profit for the year ended 28 February 2012 is R460 000 and the entity makes
use of a gross profit mark-up percentage of 20% on cost. What will the cost of sales
amount be for the year ended 28 February 2012?
(1) R 552 000
(2) R 92 000
(3) R 383 333
(4) R2 300 000
(5) None of the above

Ok kewl and what about this one?

even the baby is like WTF :p:D
