Man Robbed and GTA V stolen straight after release

A man who bought one of the first copies of Grand Theft Auto V has been attacked and robbed of the game as he made his way home.

The 23-year-old was hit with a brick and stabbed shortly after leaving an Asda supermarket in Colindale, north London, where the game went on sale at midnight.

He also had his watch and mobile phone stolen and is now recovering in hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

You can't blame game violence, he hasn't played the game yet. Maybe the guy was broke.

The guy was walking alone at night, it was dark and had his watch and wallet stolen both worth a lot. Let's blame it on the game in his hand. What's next, old lady carrying a bag of apples is mugged, apples will therefore cause violent behaviour if we use this as a precedent for future cases.

I cant wait for news to start blaming GTA V for more crap. This and that happened its GTA V that was the main course -.-'
 
The man happens to get mugged coincidentally, having nothing to do with the fact that he has GTA, and then the media jumps on the sensationalist bandwagon.
 
Look, I'm very very grateful the guy is okay. However, the fact that this was "GTA in real life" like what Syco said is really ironic considering that the game was involved in the crime.
