Eve Online

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to try eve out. See if I like it, I think I would actually. I much prefer my RTS and RPGs to my FPSs.
 
Just a question regarding payment, I'm sorry if it's been asked in this thread before.

I see that if one doesn't have the cd then it costs about $20 or so to open an account and then you get 30 days free time. Is that correct? So it's not about just starting buying gametime? You got to pay for an account first?

As i understand it yes. You pay $19.95 for an account + u get 30days play time.
The subs are like $16 a month from then on.
 
Nevermind ive been a clot again. Ive Figured it out! :o

BTW i worked it out quick $20 is like R165 or something dead cheap for a game and game time.

Wee just bought my destroyer today and fitted it out with a bit of fire-power. Should make those lvl1 and 2 missions a breeze.

I just wish they would respond to my request before my 14 day trial runs out soon. It is looking good though, because they wanted more details from me to prove I own the account, rather then just a flat no.


Anyway these new tutorials make it a breeze to get started. I was sitting on 6 ships. Having only purchased 1, only to be given it as a mission reward 3 missions later. Would of been 7 if I'd not gone afk during one and losing a ship.

I like the speed of the latest tutorials, but miss the awesomeness of the old ones. Having the on-board computer talk you through everything felt so futuristic :D
 
I dont know how the old tutorials where but i like the newones. gives u a chance to really try out everything and see what appeals to u. I know Lydon likes Mining where as me and OC are more into combat and salvaging.

Lol. Wish there was a way to add to ur skill queue remotely. Would rock! Maybe we can incite CCP to think up something.
