I've been keeping my eyes on that X bundle...I've been yearning for a space game for a while now, but I fear that the X series might disappoint me.
Can anyone vouch for this game?

I can vouch that I have no idea what to do in those games. They throw you into a ship and you have to figure out what you can or should do, as far as I can tell. I don't have the patience to try and figure it out.

Thanks. I'll close that tab now and not feel sorry about it.

X3 Reunion was very slow game, pretty but dam slow. Also they don't hold your hand like other space games. No pointer saying you should go in that direction to find your mission.

Loads of trading as well.

Did I mention it was dam pretty?

Don't know about the rest in the series.

Have you tried FTL. I don't know what you're looking for in a space game, but that sodding thing kept me inside all weekend.

Very good games the X series, but be prepared as you'll need a bucket load of time. Very steep learning curve!!!

Another GREAT title!!! Loved this, but very difficult and at the same time, fun!

I've reached the boss twice and had my butt whooped, and that was on easy. Still there is something in me that has to give it just one more shot

That's exactly what happened to me and I hear there are three phases!

It's true! I managed to defeat the boss with my Engi cruiser (on Easy though). You unlock a pretty cool Federation Frigate for defeating the boss, the Frigate has this awesome artillery laser that passes right through shields and cleaves a line of damage across the enemy ship.

No I haven't tried FTL. I've frequented the store page quite often - it caught my attention. Chances are I'll get it sometime/someday.

Edit: And by the way you guys are talking about the game I'm just getting more excited about it:)

That's cheating :D The game is meant to be played on Normal! Personally, I haven't played a single game on Easy!

Why not just spring for the Humble bundle then? $5 will get you FTL + a couple of others, you can always gift some games you think you will never be interested in.

And donating to a good cause is always a good thing...
2 days left to make up your mind :D

just looking at the screenshots I was never interested until I watched total biscuits review on it. Go check it out- it was one of the reasons I ended up getting the humble bundle

how did you manage it? any tips?

 Hey it's on option! Figured I'd learn the game first before going the difficult route - tried a few games on normal, you just land up being so darn poor in terms of scrap.

I've played FTL on easy. Not that I've managed to beat the game on that. It's fun trying to get to the end though.
