Battlefield 4 Beta Feedback

Hi Guys

So I tried out the Battlefield 4 beta last night on the PC and was wondering what your feedback is if you have tried it.

When I played this last night, there was only 5 servers based in Cape Town and today I see we have quite a few more and in Johannesburg as well.

My initial feel was rather disappointing. There was a ton of lag. I tested other games and there my latency was fine. Even the internal battlefield ping was reporting 20-40ms, however you could clearly see it and feel it. The gameplay also felt very sluggish and not nearly as fast paced as the current BF3.

I know this is a Beta and I'm sure it will improve as we get closer to release date.

Maybe also include details on the platform you were trying this out on.
 
The lag is definately not pc bound, i got 90-100 fps on ultra, I also found that the coquest 64 player servers is unplayable in SA, I could however play the overseas server with no problem just the ping is bad. In Sa I found the better servers is in Cape Town at the moment. Jo'burg seemed more laggy. I only play the Domination map in SA tho.

Thanks, good to know. I was playing only 64 player conquest maps, so will give some of the smaller maps a try.
 
Had mad latency issues coupled with very stuttery framerates. My experience so far: unplayable, not enjoyable. My PC actually froze many times -- was forced to force-restart a lot as a result. But, I do feel my PC is going to kick the bucket soon - very soon.
 
On console its still freezing quite badly. Major frame rate/stutter issues when the building collapses.
 
just the lag still, its terrible, domination maps still the best to play.

Mmmm I ended most rounds with 15-5 or 23-7, I only had 1 poor round and that was the 1st one.
But I think that's due to me having a extensive background with fast paced shooters (Cod, UT, CSS, Quake)

Yip I actually think proper cod players will dominate the domination on BF4.
 
I'm trying really hard to enjoy BF4 Beta, it's very different from Bf3 - not just a new gift wrapping of the same gift - many, many changes -- but I'm encountering so many problems.
After I downloaded the Nvidia drivers last night, the game ran much better, but still a little choppy - then came a problem where there's constant HDD activity, and things in game take forever to load, or load so choppily.

I'll maybe try tonight again, but if this continues to happen I'm simply going to ignore the game as a whole.

Just wait until the game has been properly released. Most should be sorted.

I tried playing again. I'm done. I've uninstalled it. Game runs just TOO badly. [long]Loads every 1-2 secs.

Edit: I won't be getting it soon after release anyway. Won't have money to get it.
