Teen murders son then plays video games: police

Normally I'd question the article and ask "But where were the parents at?", sadly enough, they were present... :( ...just not the matured, responsible kind.

Not always. My mom had really bad parents and she turned out to be a good parent.

True story dude. People have a choice to make in regards to what they're going to make of their circumstances. Some people crack, others rise above.

Not always applies to almost everything. Just saying I doubt he had good parents. There is a correlation between bad parenting and their their children becoming bad parents as well. But like most things there are people buck the trend, your mom (Guys I totally used "your mom" without being insulting!).

I am not saying he didn't have bad parents.

oh my word... this is the saddest story i have heard in a VERY long time :(

This is actually the 3rd story regarding people killing babies I've heard in the last 2 months or so. Hence my first post in this thread. Speechless. What sick bs.

I wish we could say its the sick times we living in but its been like this for years. Like during the crusades they used a child army bec they thought god would protect them and what happened they all got killed.

I just think human nature is a very very violent one.

Ja dude, that's the truth. It's definitely not "our voilent times". It's always been like this. Now it just seems like it happens more often because news coverage is now converged right across the world. Everyday things that happen is now covered by reporting, more than ever before. We can literally know what's happening any place in the world at any given time.

Maybe global communication is the mirror we needed to see ourselves in and do some serious self-reflection.

Thing is... this is no isolated incident. I have a colleague who used to work for childline, and lets just say ignorance is bliss. They see this kind of thing on a virtually daily basis.

Well just recently here some guy raped and killed his son.

There are people out there who would make great parents but can't have children and then their are people like this.

Friends of mine had to go the adoption route. They are fantastic parents and love their lad to bits. But the number of hoops they have had to jump to make it happen sash almost prohibitive.

What the hell, I hope he gets tried as an adult, imo if you're a parent, you have to take responsibility as any adult would, you don't get to be a child anymore.

I'm telling you dude, my wife and I tried for years to have a kid, and eventually got checked out and the doctors said that we couldn't have kids naturally, and we were actually scheduled to start IVF the same month that my wife fell pregnant. But at the same time, a girl in the family fell pregnant with her second, and she had already dropped out of high school because she was pregnant with her first. Seems very unfair sometimes.

Anyway, if anyone were to think of abusing my little boy, I would totally lose my shit.

Ya it's not easy to adopt a kid. My sister's brother-in-law adopted a little boy because they were having trouble having their own kids, and had been through a bunch of IVF cycles. After that though, on their last chance at IVF, they fell pregnant, with triplets, all boys...
