What ram should I upgrade to?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of 8g Corsair gaming ram, not sure how good it is but my friend who is a serious gamer said its a good choice, atm I have 8g normal ram (if something like that even exists lol)

Any idea what I should be paying for it and best place to buy? Consider that I stay in the lovely Cape Town.

Dankie baie

What you have is decent, no reason to upgrade, unless of course if you want to waist your money. :)

Look at upgrading your GPU or getting a SSD.

I have an i5 and the only game I play is sc2 really, I do have an SSD, but I am getting ram lag when playing 4v4 and shit gets hectic like mass carrier or brood lord, things like that, then I get lower FPS, and its really a crucial moment if ur trying to use special abilities. Why would u say its a waste of money?

8GB is more than enough for gaming, you most likely have 1333MHz or 1600MHz RAM. Getting more RAM will not solve your problem, there is something else wrong.

What makes you think it's your RAM?

What graphics card do you have?

Trust me on this, it's not your RAM. 8GB is more than enough, make sure you are running a 64-bit Windows, it will say so in that screenshot you took. Your GPU is a little underpowered though.

Make sure you are running the latest driver, here's download links:
Windows 7 32-bit
Windows 7 64-bit

Thanks a million! Firstly it does say that it is 64 bit, secondly wtf is "GPU"? Do I still need to download the driver if it does say "windows 7 64-bit" or is it just something I need to download and run anyway?

GPU=Graphics card.

Download the driver from the Windows 7 64-bit link and install it.

Hmm, what would really help diagnose the problem would be your Full Name; ID number and credit card number :D.

But on the real what HDD do you have? and what Internet connection you got?

Hahahaha,

Michael Chant le Roux, 870716xxxxxxx and I don't own a credit card :D

I run my operating system (Windows 7) and sc2 on a SSD, and then i have another HDD SAGA3 (If I recall that is what its called from WD) that the rest of shit is on. Nvdia Geforce GTX 560 is my graphics card, if its good or bad I wouldn't know, and finally I have a dongle with good internet connection I rarely have issues with it, but can that really cause latency in game when there is so much supply eg 4v4 all 200/200?

Hmm, that hardware shouldn't be causing lag actually...

I actually can't find an "agent.exe" so can it be that it will only be there after a patch or is it there on random and maybe something I should look for every time I start the game up?
