Superbru - Currie Cup and Rugby Championship 2013

So nervous about the game today. Must win it. If we can get the bonus point for tries, great. Then we can really get snot drunk.

Almost time! I haven't looked forward to a game like this for a long time! :D

Go Springbokke!

Hats off to the All Blacks. They are truly amazing and the best team in the world. Today they really answered any questions regarding where they stand. They are ahead of everyone.

Springboks. You made me proud. You scored four tries against the All Blacks and that's amazing. You played great rugby and you were beaten by a better team. However...

I see greatness coming. This Springbok team can become great. They made so many strides in the last year. Next year they will be even better.

And last but not least: Nigel Owens. You were outstanding today. It was a great game between the two best teams in the world and you controlled the game superbly.

It was an awesome game. We lost and that sucks but wow! This is why I watch rugby.

Damn. Good. Game. So bitterly disappointed that we lost. But losing like that to a superb team makes it a little easier to swallow the bitter pill. Mistakes were too many.

Also not sure of the tactics by HM to sub Bizmark and Jannie at such a crucial point in the game when we were scrumming so well, that was beyond understanding. Substitution just for the sake of it?

As for the ref. Nigel Owen. Awesome game he had. Even pulling up with cramp. At last a good ref.

It's going to be interesting this weekend with the Springbok players back. I especially look forward to the WP - Sharks game. WP has Jean de Villiers and Schalk Burger on the bench! The Sharks team has Jake White there now though I believe plus the Springbok front row.

Going to be one worth watching!

We are definitely in for a cracking few weeks of rugby. Sharks will want the home final too. And if that happens I am travelling for the game

The staying line up includes Pieter-Steph du Tiot, Bismark, Beast, Jannie and Lambie on the bench. Not sure why he isn't in the starting line up, but heck it's a good looking team /squad all the same.

I for one am glad he's not starting with the Boks. Remember last year how the Boks came back, and many teams got disrupted by their inclusion. These Currie Cup teams has been together for a long time now and many has started getting a rhythm. Let the Boks play, yes sure, but let them make the impact needed at the end of the game. Also, essential positional Boks will be a welcome addition to the team.

The picks aren't going to be easy. Oh wait. Lions in CT? WP win easily? Nah! No easy games in the semi finals.

Personally, I am a little worried about the Sharks v Cheetahs game. Cheetahs tend to have a history of pulling irons out of the fire against the Sharks. Going with my heart though for this one.

Lions Win
Sharks win

Lions win final

It's so easy guys, why can't you see this? I've picked Lions for the win every time.

Sorry, but that's just wrong. I am still battling to erase the last Sharks loss here in Jozi. It was great being there but the loss was scarring.

Province vs the Mighty Free State Cheetahs next weekend.

Province with a comfortable 9 this weekend and the Cheetahs will race to a early lead and go to sleep again, then come back strong in last 15 for a nailbiting 4 points win.

So says Piesank and so it was!

i have to agree with you here. the cheetahs will be putting it all on the line against the sharks and they have done it before.
