Yea, that's the Alpha. You need to buy it to get access to the Beta. They won't be updating the Alpha Brototype anymore, so I recommend buying it if you enjoy the game. The devs deserve it, and you'll get access to the new content and modes.

I won't replay it, but i still have 2 sequences left. Hopefully i will get to finish it this weekend.

I was a huge AC fan back in the day. I have all the games, DLC, CE's, figurines (Except for AC2's Black Edition
), books and the encyclopedia. I used to pay for the CE's in full in advance. A lot of people didn't like the Ezio trilogy, the fact that we got to expansions for full price, I loved 'em. ACIII though, it just killed the series. Everything that made AC great and exciting is now gone, Desmond's story was a fuck up of note, Conner was boring, the Templars weren't even interesting. No real plot twist, no real anything. It was just a bunch of fluff covering an extremely buggy game (at launch).
The only thing good about ACIII was it's MP, the videos you unlocked, documents, it really made you want to play more.
Honestly, I'd rate the game a very generous 5/10.

I completely disagree with you. Loved every second of it. While not as cocky and charismatic as Ezio (for obvious reasons), Connor is still a great character. Glad they got rid of Desmond, his story should have stopped with Ezio's in Revelations. To each his own I suppose.
Was playing it again yesterday to get psyched for ACIV and it's still awesome. If I had to rate it, it would be 8.5/10.
