Just started playing Batman: Arkham City last night (thanks to a Steam sale) and this thread cam to mind when I saw Catwoman.

From what I've read so far -- it appears many men would date women purely based on the cosmetics. She can be an idiot, rude or arrogant person, as long as she's beautiful. Shouldn't beauty just be an added bonus?

I was thinking the same think. This has gone from finding girls suitable to date in the long term to objectifing woman based purely on sex appeal. Kinda disappointing to me

For the sake of not coming across as a d!ck let me explain...I'd have to say yes. Her looks definitely do matter to an extent and I'm not apologising for that. We are genetically hardwired to seek the fittest/hottest mates. I'd say that certain criteria in the looks department have to be met.. I won't mention them but ya... I look after my body well enough so I guess I deserve a partner who takes care of herself too?

My understanding is that since this is on video game characters you should have had a chance to find out a bit about her personality already, so this thread would be an informed choice on what you know about her and her appearance. This wasn't about looking at random girls in a bar and saying she's pretty I like her but more along the lines of I've worked with these girls and I like her for these reasons (excluding just boobs)

But that's just my 2c on the matter

I've become more appreciative of what's waiting for me on the inside. Pointless having the sexiest, most beautiful portrait of a female, but she's rotten on the inside or just a complete and utter bitch. Yes, there are very beautiful women who are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside -- but that's not a common encounter -- as far as I'm concerned.

Judging beauty from a distance is easier & faster...using it as the initial filter is thus the correct move. If that is the sole consideration though then good luck to the person employing that strategy...

Ok so I guess there exists two polar extremes on what there is on offer when it comes to choosing our significant other.
On one end of the spectrum are the sweetest people you'll ever meet but look like TES female ogres xD and on the other end of the spectrum you have the hot as all heaven "Ice queens"...
If you had to choose between the two for having your babies who would you choose?? :p
My point here is you have to find that sweet spot within this continuum where there's a good balance based on your preference.
This analogy is kinda crap... because it's not true in all situations as you get smokin' HOT girls that are incredibly nice and ugly chicks that are just as ugly on the inside.
But you get my drift.

Lol. name one of the chicks on the list that are utter bitches (ignoring Malice's post on Larry girls because damn.....he has it rough as is.) Lol anyone can call you out on anything here. Why would you only date a woman based on how nice she is? Or how smart she is? Judging anyone on those is just as cheap as appearance.

Now leaving aside the fact that, who puts ugly girls into games purposefully, IF you pay attention to the characters chosen. Most are "playable" (hurr hurr hurr) and that you get to spend hours with and get to "know" her. Regardless of what you may think, we have a really weird attachment to these bits of code (and they're respective cosplay representations).

The problem isn't that we want hot chicks. The problem is that we want to date the figments of other peoples imaginations...
 
We all have our preferences and opinions, this I understand, and I respect your guys view points on this.
 
Another lady whom I would love to spend a fair amount of companionship with Litchi Faye-Ling from the Blaz-Blue series.
She is smart, crazy hot and a true ride-or-die chick :D.
