Remeber Me on PS3. Nogal a surprisingly enjoyable game.
I played about 2 hours past night, will put in a lot more time tomorrow and Friday when I'm off work. So far it is absolutely amazing, I haven't done much (just got the Jackdaw), bit what I have done was great. Story seems good so far (even modern time storyline) and Edward is qn awesome character. Love just sailing around and there are sooo many distractions on the mini-map like small islands with treasure chests, animals to hunt, people to assassinate etc.
Ship controls are much easier and more fluid than in AC III and naval combat is better as a result. Normal combat is pretty much the same as in AC III bit with a few different animations and different weapons etc. Seems to be a lot of upgrades for both Edward and the Jackdaw.
Definitely recommended to fans of AC or open-world games/pirate theme in general.
Sounds awesome, thanks for the response Wlad. Unfortunately, I have to wait a couple of weeks before I can play it. One of the disadvantages of using a PC. Annoyingly, the PC version is finished, and is out in some European stores already, by accident it seems. Why they see the need to hold it back with the other next-gen releases, I'll never understand.
Glad to know that the game is good, I have it on pre-order, but I never truly trust reviews from big sites. Hearing it from another player eases my worries. Just a question, are the optional objectives as restrictive as they were in AC3? It really annoyed me that they built these big open areas, but "forced" you to play using a certain style. It seemed quite contradictory. In games such as these, I should be allowed to play my own way. Hopefully they took a page out of Far Cry 3's book in that regard.
From what I can tell so far you can pretty much play how you want. I've done one or two missions that said I had to sneak somewhere and avoid combat but I just walked in and killed everyone and I could still pass the mission, just not with 100% sync.
As far as I know the main studio behind AC IV is the same one that did Far Cry 3.
It's skill annoying that they've included the optional "objectives". It doesn't bother me when they're actually objectives, but most the the time they become restrictions. It makes me feel like I'm not playing the game correctly. I should be allowed to do what I want, and not suffer a sync loss because of it. The older AC's which didn't have them were much better. They gave you a big open area and told you to assassinate a guy using whatever means necessary (as long as it didn't violate the creed). You created your own solutions, that was fun.
Optional objectives should be things like: Rescue all the pirates, save all the rum, bed all the wrenches ect.
Optional restrictions are things like: avoid combat; kill the guy using stealth; only fire 3 shots with your pistol ect. The difference is quite clear.
I really don't understand the logic that in an open world game, you decide to give the player restrictions. I guess they could argue that it's for more challenge, but in my opinion it really ruins the fun.
I just finished Sleeping Dogs. The game had a few problems that were a bit annoying, but it was quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it.
Along with so many others![]()
Batman Arkham Origins
So far I am really disappointed by the game, can't say its worth the premium price.
Get AC Black Flag or something along those line because this Batman isn't worth the AAA price tag...not even slightly.
PS3
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
Vita
Soul Sacrifice
PC
Borderlands 2
The Walking Dead: Episode 2 - Starved for Help
Episode 1 was brilliant!
I found episode 2 to be the roughest out of the lot - felt physically sick after playing it. Enjoy![]()
