No more Steam keys on Humble Bundle

Good move on humbles part, I like the idea of games being auto added to my library. Funny how people find ways to stuff good things up hey?

I'm worried that this is going to affect the MyGaming Steam Community giveaways quite negatively in the long run, especially if other bundle sites follow suit, but I can understand why they did it.

Humble and other charity bundle's yes I can understand this move. Even their EULA's say its a dick move to pay as little as you can for games esp if you just distribute games just for the sake of distributing. If your friend wants the game so badly he should donate as well... After all the main goal is about giving money for good causes, not buying games as cheap as you can.

BundleStars and such are all about buying cheap games and even state on their site that you are welcome to gift the games you already own.

Yes the gifts will be affected but I don't think they will die out completely.

I'm curious do you have my receipts for the bundles I bought and then perhaps gave someone a key or two I wasn't going to use?

Its not about receipts or how much you payed. Its about giving away that complimentary glass of orange juice and biscuit after you donated blood. If someone wanted the games they should have donated themselves or better yet go buy them in a store. If you do not want the game, then just don't use the key.

Its really a shit attitude to have, saying "I bought the games, I can do with em what you want" cause like I said HumbleBundle's is not a store. You not buying games from them, you donating money to a charity of your choice and they are kind enough to hand you something for your trouble.

If you go to some place like BundleStars you welcome to do what you want with the keys.

No give aways are fine of course. I'm talking about people selling Humble keys for a profit.

not really a big problem for me... everything i have given away has been either extra, or something bought as gifts on special. i always pay above average, and if this makes it better for the charities and devs, then by all means, go for it!

I was thinking the same thing today. It is much safer this way but Steam gifting will suffer from this unless they get a workaround to it.

Yep I think it's a dick move to give away steam keys from humble bundle, it's against the eula. If they don't like the rules they should gtfo. People should not be so stingy and just buy the bundle if they want the games.

I was like OMWWTFBSBBQ when I read the title. Then I read the article and went lol.

Good way to attract readers with heading, but you might want to add in the first sentence that the keys are not made visible :p
It doesn't really matter if they still allow the option to buy the bundle as a gift. Your friend still gets the games. :)

Slightly misleading title, you still getting games added to your steam library. So you basically getting steams keys, but only one steam account for bundle. Makes sense to me.
