The PSX was the console to have in the late 90s. The PSX single-handedly changed an entire generation into console fanatics.
If you had one, you loved it.
I remember these titles that forever changed the way we looked at gaming:
Gran Turismo 1 and 2
Metal Gear Solid
Crash Bandicoot
Final Fantasy VII and VIII and IX
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Tekken 3
Resident Evil/Biohazzard 1 and 2
Silent Hill

Are you a wizard?
That was basically my exact same list for the PSOne.
Hmmm
What about Tekken? I can't even remember how much time I spent with Tekken 3, it was the perfect Beat-'em-Up. Having said that, Mortal Kombat on the Mega Drive should also be somewhere on some list.
Honourable mentions:
Spyro the Dragon
Need for Speed Underground (people went crazy for that game when it came out)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
And then there was something of a personal addition to the list (probably doesn't define the generation, but had a massive impact on my playtime):
Jonah Lomu Rugby.
Also on the honourable mention should be FIFA 06. No one can claim that this particular game didn't revolutionise the sporting genre as a whole. And all men can claim to at some point or another spent an afternoon with the homies with FIFA as the main attraction.
