Internet sleuths have found Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 share some strikingly similar sequences. Did Infinity Ward simply copy and paste animations and assets from Modern Warfare 2 into Ghosts? It's hard to argue against this side-by-side comparison video.

We've reached out to Activision for comment and will update this post when we hear back. In the meanwhile, feel free to point out any other similar sequences shared between the two games in our comments section below.

This is nothing new, though. Studios reuse animations all the time. Bioware reused many of their Mass Effect animations in the Dragon Age games, with one of the best examples being the animation where Hawke walks to the bar to get a drink being the exact same as the one where Shepard gets a drink from the bar on Omega in Mass Effect 2.

You don't always notice it, but this happens often.

Michael Bay recycles footage all the time as well - it's pretty common in the film industry (not to mention saves a bucket load in costs). With games becoming more and more cinematic, with longer development times and more that needs to be done, it's unsurprising that this sort of corner cutting happens.
