I need to be convinced to keep my 3ds :/ Anyone willing to give it a go?
The games are just too expensive for me, doesn't make owning a 3ds viable.. don't get me wrong I absolutely love Nintendo games.. Zelda, mario, fire emblem, SMT they generate experiences like none other.. Even stood by Nintendo even though my friends laugh at me for doing so. But dat pricetag for games and the fact that the core group NEVER lower the prices on games makes me not want to keep mine.
Honestly, I'd probably not settle for anything less than XL.

1. Console way cheaper than the alternatives besides pc
2. Games are R200 or more cheaper than Xbox and Ps3 games
3. I do see specials on the good ds/3ds games for R150 you just have to look around
4. No need for a 3d tv or normal tv.

I've been thinking about this for the past two weeks. If you had to make your own "dream team" of pokemon. What would your 6 pokemon be?

I am enjoying X & Y a lot and never thought it would have kept me constantly playing for a month straight already without getting bored :D.

I haven't ever tried multiplayer in any of the games, but the people on the gamefaqs forum seem to enjoy it and spend hours and hours creating a perfect team.

What I do in the games is complete the pokedex and try and find shiny rares which takes a long time to do without using online trading :D.

My favourite 6 is:
Jolteon
Delphox
Gardevoir Mega
Charizard Mega X
Lucario
Cofagrigus (When I can trade him over)

My team seems to cover most types that come up and can change Charizard for Blastoise or some other type since Delphox is fire.

Grass - Charizard, Delphox
Water - Jolteon
Fire - Lucario (Learns Ground/Rock move)
Electric - Lucario (Learns Ground move)
Psychic - Cofagrigus and Delphox (Learns Dark Moves)
Dragon - Gardevoir
Ghost - Cofagrigus and Delphox (Learns Dark Moves)
Dark - Lucario and Gardevoir
Ground - Nothing Super-effective (Unless I use Blastoise)
Rock - Lucario
Fairy - Lucario
Steel - Lucario, Delphox and Charizard
Fighting - Charizard, Delphox and Cofagrigus
Bug - Charizard and Delphox
Flying - Jolteon
Normal - Lucario
Ice - Lucario, Charizard and Delphox
Poison - Cofagrigus, Delphox and Lucario

I want to get this but I'm worried that it's going to be too confusing for me.
Is it easy for casual players? I don't know that much about Pokemon games but I enjoy them a lot because of the game style.

If 6 year olds can play it then I am sure teddy bears can too :D

Pokemon games can be easy or hard as you want them to be, since my first play-through was easy on Y cause I had luck getting perfect stat pokemon, but in my X play-through it was harder since I got lucked out on good stats so lost a few pokemon in fights so had to heal at the Pokemon Centres more often.

As long as you know the type chart I posted above you will do fine.

Just noticed my type chart shows light and sound and found this on bulbapedia which is one of the main info sites besides serebii.net, never seen them wrong :p

Wonder if they are coming in the future.

I wish they stopped making all these convoluted pokemon types/pokemon and concentrate more on the base pokemon (i.e quality vs. quantity)
 
So I guess I'm keeping this spiffy little thing..
My friend codes keep changing because I keep on reformatting the SD card.
