And that's not racist at all Fivel doesn't say much about you now does it. It's comments like that that that causes tension and turns thing into something they are not supposed to be

Fivel this country is falling apart simple as that. The cops are completely useless,the government hospitals are useless,the military is in shambles. And what does get over being white mean? Aren't we allowed to be proud of being white?

Read the entire thread, form your own opinion and comment. The post was made based on Neo's previous post, which Neo changed, where he claimed that being white is superior.

Not sure how I'm being racist when as a white person I call out another white persons racists comments?
 
I read the entire thread m8 but by attacking a single person about his post is a bit iffy, i don;t think i'm superior but i'm proud to be white just as i know there are guys that are proud to be black, hell i even have black friends and some of them just laughed at some of the things you posted.

but you do make me wonder about some things.............
 
You guys do know there is a difference between white and proud vs white and arrogant/racist. Previously the point made was white people set SA up alone and now that a black party has taken over everything has gone to shit because they are black.

But sadly our country is looking worse for ware since the anc took over unless i've been living under a rock. I'm white and proud i'm not arrogant but i do stand up for my rights same as all other groups in our country but there are limits......

TODAY I feel like we should stick to gaming and rather discuss these things in person when we all meet each other :p.

Can we all at least agree that the RSA had one screwed up past and it's up to us to make it a better future.. We're not supposed to be arguing amongst each other, but rather be working together.. That's exactly what politicians want. They want us to argue about this until we get blue in our faces.

My comment was aimed at Neo and by no means meant to be a generalised statement. From what you posted, and that's all we have to go on, you approach the subject with the necessary sensitivity and understanding.

I'm sorry if you don't like what I have posted but we really need to call out non constructive posts like Neo's just like the thread was started to called out the racist Boer comment. We also need to be able to have these discussions which are very relevant as it affects all of us. I get it that I am older than most on the forum, so my views may not be as relevant to younger folk, but the views are nonetheless out there whether I like it or not.

If it gets heavy, which topics like this invariably do, then we have to find away to have the necessary discussion without resorting to cheap, unsubstantiated generalisations. I hate the generalisations that all whites are racist and all blacks are idiots as an example.

Fivel, I don't think anyone here thinks that way. We all hate generalizations and I'm sure everyone feels the same when I say you get the good, bad and ugly out of all walks of life. I don't exactly know where Neo stands because his posts almost seems like he's vaguely trying to suggest something, but ya, not going to go there on a Friday.

I reckon the younger generation has a lot of work to do, but on the brighter side I'm optimistic because this generation may actually move past the dark past the country's had and work together beyond all the perpetuated dividing lines, because everyone's human and that's all that should really matter. I'm curious how things might change should another party take the reigns, it just worries me that voters haven't given another party a chance to prove themselves behind the reigns (as a ruling party). I also believe the current election process in the country is flawed and needs some rework or some modification.

Honestly and sincerely man, you can be proud of your heritage and ethnicity and that's great, but this particular comment and it's implications (which seem like generalizations) are possibly just as polarizing as the comments by Ramaphosa.
 
Respect the elderly now gents :) we did have cars and the electricity stayed on longer than it does now!!!
