AMD Radeon R9 270 review roundup

I run the Powercolor version of this card the R9 270X O.C and i love this thing's performance i run BF4 on Ultra at 1920x1080
And this cheaper version looks like it would be able to run close to that as well can't really make out the screenshots :p

But depending on the price if it's only like a R100 or R200(wootware doesn't have this yet) cheaper than the 270x i would rather fork that out for a stronger card depending on if you have the psu to run it.

How compatible would this card be with older systems...? My SO's 4890 recently bit the dust on the old quad core system. Would there be any issues replacing it with this...? (other than a possible bottleneck from the cpu's side)

well i run this on my old system which is about 3 years old now
no issue i have a i5 quad core CPU the 2630 and i enjoy my rig with no hassle 8gb's of ram and 6 drives
on an msi mobo

What is your current setup?

It's basically the generation of the Q6600's with 4gb of ram.

Well if the PCIE slot supports 3.0 then you should be fine check your mobo specs and see if it is that then you can run it

It should be fine. The card will bump down automatically to PCI-E 2.0 speeds and your CPU will become a bottleneck, but it should make 1080p gaming with medium settings possible.
