Yeah, still making that adjustment myself. Getting there slowly. Not used to using all the fingers on my left hand so spaz out a little from time to time lol.

I'm still on a low rank,so all the other players are higher and have unlocked powerful weapons:cry:

I have to work my way up.
 
There are some awesome low lev guns the scar is one, the first carbine is awesome so no excuse there ;)

It's not a question of being OP, it's more of a question of what are they useful for? We already have Marksman Rifles, Assault rifles can do single and burst fire, so they can do quite a bit of damage at distance as well, if you know what you are doing. I just feel they don't really have a place in BF4 as they did in BF3. Maybe it's the shitty hitreg that's causing it, maybe I suck at using them, I will reserve further judgement once the new patch has been released.

What DMR are you using?

Don't rely on the in-game stats for the weapons because they are bull.

Take a look here:

All the data from the site is taken directly from the game files so it's 100% accurate unless they left some things out.

What mouse are you using?

I can help you optimize your mouse for FPS gaming if you have a gaming mouse. (things like increasing sensitivity along the Y axis to make recoil more manageable and disabling all forms of mouse acceleration) Takes a while to get used to.
 
I'm not using my own machine to play cause my machine is not up to spec:cry:

Tell me if this is possible:
I shot at two guys that were standing right infront of my with a rocket launcher and they did not die or get injured.

I was killed by a guy who had a shotgun and he was at least 50metres from me.

The explosion radius of launchers are usually a dome shape at the back of the rocket on impact.Basically it means if you and the other guy are on the same ground level then the chances are low of you damaging them if the rocket explodes in front of them.You need to hit the ground next to them or right behind them (the explosion radius varies from launcher to launcher as well as damage)

It's easier to kill a guy with a rocket from higher ground because of the angle (also it's better to hit walls with a rocket in urban areas instead of aiming for their feet if there is a wall nearby)

As for the shotguns,the should not kill you at 50m unless you are below 30% health.They will however kill you outright at most ranges (even long range) if they are using slugs.

Was there a mechanical object, with tripods, in front of them. With green light behind said object?

If yes. then this would explain the rocket not damaging them. As this device explodes incoming explosive devices.

Regarding the shotgun... It is possible that more than one person shot at you and that the guy with the shottie got your last bit of health and the kill in a matter of splits of a second. Some games show how many people shot at you. BF does not. Sadly.

Real men use iron sight!
I've unlocked everything on my SG553, but I still prefer the iron sight.
Heck, I even use iron sight on my sniper rifle (mainly due to sucking at long range sniping in this game) :(

Real men have respawn set to 0 :rolleyes: (Dont get me started on those recon subhuman creatures... :D )

I like the red dot scope, and for larger levels, a x2 or so scope on my rifles.

Not sure if your mouse supports different sensitivity along the X and Y axis.You need to turn up the sensitivity on the Y axis until it's noticeable (100-200dpi higher so if you have 1800dpi by default then you can keep the x-axis on 1800dpi and turn up the y-axis to 1900-2000dpi)

Takes a while to get used to but it gives a major advantage when controlling recoil.

There was nothing in front of them,I shot them also from behind.

The guy with the shotgun was the only person who shot at me.

Wow,I cant use iron sight,it's too difficult to aim right.I need a scope for accuracy.
