Yeah it was, but I managed to get it to work. I think the firewall was blocking ports, even though it claimed to be connected. I had to use paypal account to pay though, wouldn't accept my CC.
Step1:
Goto http://dpgamer.com/
Use, 413M4D or 4712M9 or 4912HA as proof of purchase. These codes are reusable (tons of other codes available on reddit etc)
Get promo code and add to your order and get an extra $10 off
They will send you a voucher code to use on Origin (this voucher is only valid on the US Origin store)
Step2:
Install hola.org or other similar application to VPN to a US address and appear to be from the US. Hola.org installs into chrome seamlessly and works very easily. After logging into hola.org, go to the site where you want to download the promo from. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ works well, then click on the flaming Hola.org icon between the Chrome bookmark star and the chrome settings. Click on a US flag, wait for it to connect. It should then automatically reload the page and it should show the prices in dollars. (I had some firewall issues here - ensure that your firewall allows you to create new connections)
Step3:
Login with your origin account in the hola.org origin tab. Select the version of BF4 you want to buy (I chose the digital deluxe edition which comes with the first expansion (releases early in Dec) and some other stuff), click on add promo code. Add the code from step 1. Click apply. It should drop the price to $25 (+- R265)
Step4:
Pay. I wasn't able to pay with my credit card, but then switched to the paypal account option and it activated without any issues.

Guys, how do you go about buying from Amazon? They have amazing discounts on MP3 and Crysis 3, but apparently you need a US address or something? Anyway to get around this?
